Lotus Lodge is a large traditional village house which enjoys a unique position in Wanlockhead, the highest village in Scotland, directly on the Southern Upland Way. It is a great base for exploring this stunning area and a convenient and interesting stop-over on trips North or South.
The hostel was purchased privately in 2006 from the Scottish Youth Hostel Association, and has since undergone extensive refurbishment. The accommodation is bright, comfortable and cosy with full gas central heating throughout.
Unlike other hostels there is no curfew although we do urge guests to be quiet and considerate after 11pm.
Continental breakfast is provided in the hostel along with fresh bed linen, duvets and pillows, all at no extra charge.
